About leadership and resilience coaching

How do I know if I need a therapist or a coach?

Coaching is quite different from therapy or counselling. While therapy often looks at the past to help address mental health challenges like depression or trauma, coaching focuses on your present and future and on improving your mental wellbeing, at work, at home and with yourself. Topics might include strategies for exiting your business, retiring or changing career, dealing more effectively with stress and developing new habits and routines that support you better. Coaching is solutions-focussed and will only be useful when you are ready to experiment with incremental change, to show up, be real and act on courage of your convictions.

How does coaching work and how much do I need?

In a coaching session you can anticipate a lot of direct questions and conversation! It's all about you getting curious and clearer on where you are and where you want to be. There is often goal-setting, laughter and an invitation to experiment with what you've learnt between sessions. Most importantly, coaching is optimistic and oriented towards transformative change. Great things can happen! Generally, a coaching program runs weekly or fortnightly for three or more months.

Is coaching covered under my health insurance?
